Monkey D. Luffy (モンキー・D・ルフィ Monkī D. Rufi?) is a pirate and the main protagonist of the anime and manga, One Piece. He is the son of the Revolutionary Army's commander, Dragon, the grandson of the famed Marine, Garp, the foster son of a mountain bandit, Curly Dadan, and the adopted brother of the late "Fire Fist"Portgas D. Ace and Sabo. His life long goal is to become the Pirate King by finding the legendary treasure left behind by the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. He believes that being Pirate King means one has the most freedom in the world. He has eaten theGomu Gomu no Mi. As the founder and captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, he is the first member that makes up the crew as well as one of its top three fighters .

The
Gomu Gomu no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that turns the user's body into rubber. "Gomu" means rubber in Japanese. In the Viz Manga and 4Kids and FUNimation dubs, it is called theGum-Gum Fruit. It was originally a treasure that Shanks and hiscrew took from an unspecified enemy, but was accidentally eaten by series protagonist Monkey D. Luffy. In the second version of Romance Dawn, it originally belonged to Luffy's grandpa who took it from an unspecified enemy.

Roronoa Zoro (ロロノア・ ゾロ Roronoa Zoro?) is a pirate, formerbounty hunter, and one of the main protagonists of One Piece. He is the first member to join the Straw Hat Pirates and to date is considered the largest threat and most dangerous member in the crew after Luffy. His fame as a master swordsman and his great strength, along with the actions of his captain, sometimes leads others to believe that he must be the true captain and is widely thought to be the first mate by those outside the crew. He is one of the top three fighters in the crew, and his dream is to become the greatest swordsman in the world. Zoro is labeled as one of "The Eleven Supernovas", the eleven rookie pirates with bounties over Bsymbol.gif100,000,000 to have reached the Red Line, with a current bounty of Bsymbol.gif120,000,000.

Nami is a pirate and the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates. She is officially the third member of the crew after defeating Arlong, and the second to join. She briefly betrays the crew during the Baratie Arc and rejoins at the end of the Arlong Arc after her past and true intentions are revealed. She has a bounty of Bsymbol.gif16,000,000.

Usopp (ウソップ Usoppu?) was born in Syrup Village. He is thesniper of the Straw Hat Pirates and former Captain of the Usopp Pirates. When Usopp was first introduced, he was often (comically) labeled as the "Liar" of the Straw Hat Pirates, due to the "Uso" (うそ) in his name meaning "lie" or "falsehood". He was first mentioned by Yasopp. He is the fourth member of the crew, the third to join, and, including Nami, also the third to rejoin, doing so at the end of the Post-Enies Lobby Arc. He is known with a bounty of Bsymbol.gif30,000,000 on his head by his alias and alter-ego "Sogeking".

Sanji is a pirate and the chef of the Straw Hat Pirates. He is the fifth member of the crew and the fourth to join. Since he was born inNorth Blue, he is the first Straw Hat not to originate from East Blue. His dream is to find the rumoured All Blue, which is where East BlueWest BlueNorth Blue, and South Blue meet along with their wildlife; a chef's paradise. He has a bounty of Bsymbol.gif77,000,000.

Tony Tony Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates. Chopper is a reindeer that ate a Devil Fruit called the Hito Hito no Mi. He comes from Drum Island, which makes him the only member of the Straw Hat Pirate Crew who was born on the Grand Line. He is the sixth member of the crew and the fifth to join Luffy, as well as being the youngest member on board. He has a bounty of Bsymbol.gif50 due to being mistaken for the crew's pet.

The Hito Hito no Mi is a Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows its user to transform into a human hybrid and a full human at will. "Hito" is Japanese for "human". In the English versions, it is called theHuman-Human Fruit. It was eaten by Tony Tony Chopper.

Nico Robin is the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates. She was originally introduced as the Vice President of Baroque Works known as Miss All Sunday before joining up with the Straw Hats. She is the seventh member of the crew, the sixth to join, and (including Nami), also the second to rejoin, doing so near the end of the Enies Lobby Arc. She was also the first member to have been a former antagonist. She ate the Hana Hana no Mi. During the Post-War arc, she became involved with the Revolutionaries for two years. Her dream is to find the Rio Poneglyph which tells the True History. She has a bounty of Bsymbol.gif80,000,000.

TAKEN FROM-HTTP://ONEPIECE.WIKIA.COM/WIKI/STRAW_HAT_PIRATES

The Hana Hana no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to replicate and sprout pieces of their body from the surface of any object or living thing. "Hana" (花) is the Japanese word for "bloom" and "flower", and reflects the nature of the user's power to sprout their body parts like a blooming flower. Whenever the parts sprout from a chosen surface, pinkish-white petal-like particles also seem to originate and then swirl away from where they sprouted, as well as around the user itself, further giving emphasis to the Devil Fruit's name; the parts seem to remain on the location from which they bloomed for as long as the user wills otherwise and also does so in a dissipating manner, also with the petals being manifested as they vanish. The fruit almost keeps its original Japanese name in the 4Kids dub by calling it the Hana-Hana Fruit, but is called the Flower-Flower Fruit in the Viz Manga and FUNimation dub. It was eaten by Nico Robin.

Franky (フランキー Furankī?) is the shipwright for the Straw Hat Pirates. He is a 36 year old cyborg from Water 7 and was introduced in the story as the leader of the Franky Family, a group of ship dismantlers. He was originally named Cutty Flam until he threw away his original name for his nickname per the request by Iceburg to hide his identity. Franky and his followers were originally introduced as antagonists of the Water 7 Arc against the Straw Hats until circumstances forced them to become allies. Per the request of the Franky Family, Franky was allowed to join the Straw Hats to fulfill his dream. He is the eighth member of the Straw Hat crew and the seventh to join Luffy's crew. He is also the second member to have been a former antagonist (the first being Nico Robin). He has a bounty of Bsymbol.gif44,000,000. He is originally from South Blue which he left 32 years ago (post-timeskip) as a kid of four years of age.

Brook is the musician of the Straw Hat Pirates. He is a skeleton the Straw Hats found on board a ghost ship after drifting into the Florian Triangle. He is a Devil Fruit user who ate the Yomi Yomi no Mi and is an undead being brought back into a pseudo-immortal state because of its powers. He is the ninth member of the Straw Hat crew and the eighth to join Luffy's crew.[ He is also one of the two swordsmen onboard their current ship with the other being Zoro. He fills the role of the long awaited musician that Luffy wanted for his crew since his journey began. He has a bounty of Bsymbol.gif33,000,000.

The Yomi Yomi no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit which enhances the user's soul to the point where they can come back to life after dying once, remain alive until their body is sufficiently damaged, and to use several other soul-based abilities. The name is derived from Yomigaeru (よみがえる), meaning "Resurrection", also,Yomi (黄泉) is the name of the Japanese underworld. It was eaten by Brook. In the Viz Manga it is called the Revive-Revive Fruit.

As a result of Luffy's choice in who joins the crew, the Straw Hats are notable for being one of the most varied, if not bizarre, pirate crews in the One Piece world. Their ranks have members so vastly different from one another that it almost seems random in retrospect.
These include: a doctor who is a shape-shifting reindeer that can be mistaken for something else depending on his form, such as a gorilla when full human, or a tanuki when in his usual mid-form; a cyborg for a shipwright who has very eccentric behavior and wears almost nothing except shirts and speedos; and a lively, undead, perverted skeletal musician.
The Straw Hats have four Devil Fruit users: Luffy, Chopper, Robin, and Brook. The majority of them are also fairly young, with only three members being thirty or older, although the two oldest members are just as childish as the others. Unlike most crews, they consider their ships to be crew members.

Crew Strength

I'll do whatever you cannot do. And you do whatever I cannot do!!!
   — Part of Sanji's speech to Usopp

Despite only having a small number of members, the Straw Hats are a very powerful crew. Their captain has continuously defeated people who are renowned for their incredible strength such as Crocodile and Gekko Moriahof the Shichibukai, the highly feared tyrant Enel from Skypiea, the infamous Rob Lucci of the CP9 and the legendary Shiki the "Golden Lion". The crew itself has done things which most would think impossible and completely insane like defeating an entire organization (such as Baroque Works and CP9) and punching a World Noble and breaking in and out of the Judicial Island, Enies Lobby. In fact, after the incident that occurred at Enies Lobby, the World Government has labeled them as a very dangerous crew.
All of them have at least one talent at which they are virtually perfect at and each member is, more or less, a formidable if not downright fearsome fighter in their own right. While all of them have amazing strength in one way or another, three of them, the captain, the swordsman, and the chef, have such astonishingly inhuman strength that the rest of the crew have dubbed them the "Monster Trio".
Each member in the beginning has some fairly high fighting abilities, but as they progress, each member has had to become stronger due to each opponent they encounter either being significantly stronger than the last or has required them to develop new skills or techniques to combat new opponents.
Overall, their most unique strength is the fact that the Straw Hat crew, on many occasions, are extremely lucky, being able to achieve many things that would be considered impossible feats. One of their more legendary feats was to openly punch a world noble to the full glare of the world.
While each member can hold their own by themselves, what makes the Straw Hats truly strong is their teamwork, which has become more important as the series has progressed. When one of them is incapable of doing a task, another can help out in their place instead. This helps the crew very much in facing odds that may be too much for them if they work separately.
Fishman Island. However, whenever a crisis pops up, like storms, tidal waves, large sea life or falling ships, the crew instantly snap out of their relaxed state and swing into action. They all seem to know their place and will do what they should in the circumstances. Most of the time though, they tend to sail at a casual pace, without rushing.
On our journey across the islands, all of us became stronger without even noticing.
— Part of Zoro's speech to Nami and Chopper about Usopp

After the two year timeskip, even though they have been dormant for some time, the Straw Hats are talked amongst pirates on a legendary level. Even Sentomaru casually comments that pirates are not like what they used to be. He calls the impostors of Straw Hats a wasteful trash when the fake Luffy boasts of his lineage in front of him, prompting Sentomaru to take him down with a single blow of his axe.
The crew have gained legendary status since they first set sail, on par with all the other major crews of the world. They are currently the only known pirate crew to openly wage war against the World Government and have practically gotten away with it. It still stands that they are the only pirate crew to have escape from every branch of law enforcement that the government could throw at them; The Shichibukai, Cipher Pol, Impel Down, and Marineford have all failed in their attempts to hold down the crew (with the captain penetrating and escaping from the latter two by himself). Perhaps as a testament to their strength, they are the only known crew where every single member has a bounty on their head.
When news of them resurfaced, the entire Marine organization was thrown into a frenzy to stamp on their revival whilst the rest of the pirates cheered on. It is possible that their fame had led many to join the ranks of piracy, for when the fake Straw Hats started recruiting pirates, many flocked to join up, and were also greatly shocked when the "Monster Trio" gave a show of a small fraction of their power. Sentomaru goes as far as to award the fake Luffy a tough blow when he tried to boast of his lineage, saying that the real one would never have done so.

Bounties

We'd never have tried anything here... if you hadn't attacked us first!!
— Usopp as he prepares to fight Neptune and his soldiers

Though they are pirates in name, the Straw Hat Pirates do not engage in the stereotypical activities of pirates. They are all kindhearted for the most part, and only fight in self-defense, or in vengeance for their friends. In fact, before the Enies Lobby arc, when CP9 initiated the conflict by blackmailing Nico Robin and detaining her, the Straw Hats mostly fought only other pirates (with the exception of Luffy and Zoro, who took down the dreaded Axe Hand Morgan and several of his unwilling subordinates, and Sanji, who beat up Fullbody and possibly some other unfortunate Marines prior to becoming an official Straw Hat)- it seems they were considered dangerous to the World Government and given bounties simply because they called themselves pirates.
They are considered villains by the World Government and the general public who aren't familiar with them. While this is a hassle for them, like most other pirates, the majority of the Straw Hats see their bounties as a form of achievement, a sign of how much fame and recognition their actions have produced. Nami notes that, as pirates, they are used to taking blame and being portrayed as the villains. Their current bounties total up to Bsymbol.gif800,000,050.

From -http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/

1.)Straw Hat Luffy

As the captain of the crew, Luffy has been recognized by the World Government as the most dangerous member of the Straw Hats. Due to Luffy being a relatively new pirate, the World Government originally didn't pay much attention to him. However, with each new outrageous exploit Luffy and his crew have accomplished, their views on him have changed.

  • First bounty: 30,000,000 for defeating the three top pirates of East Blue.
  • Second bounty: 100,000,000 for defeating Crocodile of the Shichibukai.
  • Third bounty: 300,000,000 for defeating Rob Lucci and Blueno of the CP9, for orchestrating the assault on Enies Lobby, and for declaring war against the World Government.
  • Fourth bounty: 400,000,000 for some or all of the following: for defeatingGekko Moriah of the Shichibukai, for punching a World Noble, for breaking into and out of Impel Down along with 241 prisoners, for participating in theWhitebeard War, for ringing the Ox Bell (which was taken as an act of war), and for being the son of Revolutionary Dragon.

2.)Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro

Recognized as a powerful fighter within the Straw Hats through his battles with various opponents, Zoro is given a bounty by the World Government with just as much recognition as Luffy in terms of being a powerful threat.

  • First bounty: 60,000,000 for defeating Daz Bones and 100 bounty hunters inWhiskey Peak.
  • Second bounty: 120,000,000 for his involvement with his fellow Straw Hats in the Enies Lobby Incident and for defeating Kaku of the CP9.

3.)Cat Burglar Nami

For her involvement with her fellow crew members in Enies Lobby and for defeating Kalifa of the CP9, Nami is recognized as a threat by the World Government and is given a bounty of 16,000,000. While most of the other Straw Hats are impressed at having bounties, Nami doesn't particularly like being a wanted person. Her picture is taken under the false pretense of a reporter wanting to take her picture for a magazine, hence the suggestive pose.

4.)Sniper King Sogeking

For his involvement with his fellow crew members in Enies Lobby, specifically burning the World Government flag and sniping off marines on the Bridge of Hesitation, Usopp is recognized as a threat by the World Government and is given a bounty of 30,000,000. Due to Usopp disguising himself as Sogeking at the time, the authorities have attributed Usopp's bounty to his Sogeking persona. While most people easily recognize Usopp as Sogeking, Luffy, Chopper, and the people of Usopp's village (with the exception of Kaya and the former Usopp Pirates) do not realize that they are both the same person.

5.)Black Leg Sanji

For his involvement with his fellow crew members in Enies Lobby, for defeatingJabra of the CP9, and for closing the Gates of Justice, Sanji is recognized as a threat by the World Government and is given a bounty of 77,000,000. However, because Attach of the Marines forgot to remove the lens cap when taking the picture, a proper picture of Sanji has not been taken. Instead, a crude drawing ofa person that barely looks like him is substituted. This, along with other incidents involving the picture, are part of a running gag on how Sanji has bad luck being recognized because of his bounty image.

6.)Cotton Candy Lover Chopper

Despite his involvement with his fellow crew members in Enies Lobby and defeating Kumadori of the CP9, Chopper is mistaken for a pet due to his normal size and appearance. Therefore, he is not considered much of a threat to the World Government, and was given a measly 50 bounty.

7.)Devil Child Nico Robin

While a cover story is given to the general public to explain Robin's initial bounty, the actual reason is because the World Government sees her ability to read Poneglyphs as a threat to world safety. After joining up with the Straw Hats, however, the government's view of her becomes more genuine.
  • First bounty: 79,000,000 for sinking six Buster Call battleships (in truth, for her ability to read Poneglyphs)

  • Second bounty: 80,000,000 for her involvement with her fellow Straw Hats in the Enies Lobby incident (her wanted poster also gains a new picture).

8.)Cyborg Franky

While his gang's involvement in the invasion of Enies Lobby is overlooked, Franky's own involvement with the Straw Hats is recognized. Along with burning the blueprints for Pluton and defeating Fukuro of the CP9, Franky is recognized as a threat by the World Government and is given a bounty of 44,000,000.

9.)Humming Brook

In his previous life, Brook had gained a bounty of 33,000,000 for piracy. This bounty and the picture accompanying it were issued fifty years ago. After the timeskip, Brook's managers sell him out to the Marines, allowing them to connect Brook's skeletal appearance to the picture in the wanted poster. They also learnt of his connection to the Straw Hats.
